The Brew Natural Cold and Flu Remedy Recipe

The Brew Natural Cold and Flu Remedy Recipe

So I finally got sick with a cold for the first time in nearly 7 years. I credit my pretty stellar immune system to a healthy diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables and a general avoidance of toxins and processed foods. Still, after weeks of traveling and changes in climate (not that I’m complaining about the rain, I actually love it) I succumbed to a pretty nasty upper respiratory infection. Not horrible but unpleasant enough. I have been visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Washington and when I started hacking and coughing, Aunt Carolyn shared “The Brew”, Her own natural cold and flu remedy.

It being that time of year that many of us struggle with colds and flu, I thought I would post her cold and flu recipe here. It’s pretty potent let me tell you. I feel better already 🙂  Seriously, this really worked for me!

Juice of one lemon (I include the pulp and just remove the seeds)
2 Tbs. Honey (substitute Stevia if on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet)

Cayenne pepper

1 Cup warm water

Whip that up in a blender until smooth and take 3 tablespoons of “The Brew” several times a day until symptoms subside.

The Brew” natural cold and flu remedy, features several super star ingredients that can kick start your immune system and help you shake off the nastiest colds and flu and, at the very least, shorten your symptoms.

The Brew Super Star Ingredients List

Garlic: A powerful anti-viral
Ginger: warming, full of antioxidants, immune boosting properties
Lemon: A potent detoxifier and full of Vitamin C
Cayenne pepper: Calms coughs and sore throats, full of antioxidants

My other cold and flu secret weapon strategy is taking several cups of hot echinacea tea 3-5 times a day.

Be Well,

Along with this I can highly recommend Oscillociccinum at the very FIRST cold and flu symptoms. Three doses 7 hours apart. Per Dr Julian Whitaker. It’s worked 90% of the time for 15 years. He adds in 200-300 mgs of vitamin C every few hours ( lower if you break with diarrhea ) plus we add Kyolic 2-3 with the C. Plus hCG levels of water and rest. Keep up for 3 days as we’ve learned it can rebound w/o the C and garlic and rest. Love the brew.

Also, the Zicam oral mist spray at the very first sign of a cold has been working wonders for me for several years. I work in an Emergency Department so needless to say, I am exposed daily to cold viruses, etc – but this has worked wonderfully – about 85% of the time, it avoids the development of a cold alltogether, other times, the cold is mild and only lasts about 3 days
