HCG Detox Tips for Better Weight Loss Results

Lately I’ve been passionate again about Detox!  I was feeling a bit tired and run down and it felt like time to cleanse my body and flush out toxins.  In my own experience, I noticed that when I did a detox cleansing program before I started the HCG Phase 2, I had much better weight loss results than when I skipped right to the diet without a Phase 1 detox.

I’d like to share a few of my favorite HCG detox tips that you can use for detoxing on Phase 1 of the HCG Diet or periodically throughout the year.   Detoxing on Phase 1 can really kick up your weight loss efforts and make your HCG Phase 2 more effective.  Detox is also beneficial to help you maintain your weight after Phase 2 and 3 of the HCG Diet are over.

HCG Detox Tips

♥  Colon cleansing is a great way to start your hCG detox (or any detox program) with a colon cleanse.  It is important to clear the colon pathways before you do any liver, kidney or other cleansing so that toxins can be released more easily.  Many HCG Dieters will take herbs with fiber or have a series of colonics over the 1-2 month Phase 1 cleansing period and before beginning the HCG Phase 2.

♥  Drink plenty of water with lemon when cleansing to help with the detox and flushing out those toxins.  I recommend continuing with a daily glass of lemon water throughout the HCG Phase 2 and Phase 3.  Lemon water is highly alkalizing and helps to cleanse and flush the liver.

♥  Take a Sauna periodically.  The skin is the largest organ of the body and one of the best ways to release toxins through the skin is by sweating.  An infrared sauna is a fairly comfortable way to release fluids and toxins from the body and induce sweating.  Make sure to drink plenty of water and take essential electrolytes to balance your body after your session.  Limit your time in the sauna to approximately 20 minutes or less.  Avoid sauna if you have issues with blood pressure.

♥  Enjoy a detox epsom salt bath.  A hot bath with epsom salts can stimulate release of toxins and excess fluids through the skin similarly to a sauna.  It can be healthy, stress relieving, and cleansing to add some essential oils like rose or lavender to your bath. Remember to always check with your healthcare provider before beginning any detox program or techniques mentioned in this article.     Thanks for the suggestion about doing a detox before i start the hcg diet. What do you put in your green drink? I always have water with lemon that is easy.

      Glad you like the latest post! I like to add grape, orange, or apricot liquid stevia. It makes it taste nice and sweet. Love lemon water and sometimes add a pinch of cayenne for a little metabolism boost! Hot pepper revs up any detox program.

    I am enjoying your insites and tips.I am waiting for my first hcg spray and don’t want to fail.The green drink,what is it? Also are sprouts allowed?

      Thanks so much Shelley! Good luck on your first round! The green drink is recommended for Phase 3. You can buy them in powdered form from most health food stores. Just make sure you purchase a brand that doesn’t have added sugar. Mix it into water and sweeten with Stevia if you like. Microgreen sprouts are fine but other sprouted seeds and grains are not allowed on P2. Only the allowed vegetables on the list. Take Care!

    Hi, Tammy! Did 2 rounds of HcG but had rather disappointing results after the first week , despite rigid adherence to the 500 calories. Can you provide more details about your detox prior to my next round? I’d like to see if it could help me. Thanks!

      What I found made a massive difference when I didn’t have such success, is eat a little more.
      Stress less and sleep more. Try to perfect your sleep Hygiene, sleep is underrated in a diet program.
      The body is under stress from calorie restriction it is important to have some self TLC.
      I personally have given my son to my parents for a few weeks in the school holidays, have been trying more meditation/Epson salt baths etc. I am doing a little more calories, all liver cleansing foods, but ensuring I have removed as much stress as possible out of my life. Sitting quietly at nights and going on walks around the river/beach.
      Just a thought.
      I have over active adrenals and terrible sleep, I noticed a significant increase in weight loss overnight when I got a better sleep or the other morning I went back to bed as I was so exhausted, and I re-weighed myself and I lost another .6kg.

    HI Tammy, I have done HCG several times but I never did any kind of a cleanse my dr never advised me too – so my question is do you cleanse before you load? Cuz I’m assuming that phase 1 means cleansing and phase 2 is the diet and phase 3 is maintenance. Am I correct?

    I don’t understand, I thought phase 1 was load. Does the detox occur before the load?
