HCG Diet Gourmet Cooking Tips for P2 Fat Free VLCD

 

I have so much fun playing around and coming up with new recipes that I thought I’d share a few of my favorites from the HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook.  With just a few simple tips and tricks, you can create your own flavorful soups and sauces, mix and match fresh herbs, and even prepackage and make up your daily meals in advance.

HCG Diet Phase 2 Cooking Tips

 

  •  One thing I like to do is cook with 1/2 water 1/2 broth.  This cuts the sodium in the recipe by half andAllow the meat or chicken to brown in your pan and then add a little water to create a rich flavorful fat free sauce
  • Use lots of spices.  Experiment, get creative.Play around with Fresh Spices – Some of my favorites are cayenne pepper, thyme, fresh black pepper and garlic.
  • Create delicious salad dressings by adding a little water, broth, or apple cider vinegar to the pan after you cook your meat or chicken.  Then spoon it over fresh greens.
  • Prepare your meats/fruits/vegetables in advance.  I often will weigh out multiple servings of chicken/beef/seafood in advance and freeze individual servings.  Then, just thaw and cook it up in minutes.
  • Marinate your meats in spices with water, broth, or apple cider vinegar so they are tasty and flavorful when you cook them up.
