HCG Phase 1-4 Four Steps to Success!

The HCG Diet is a miracle diet that literally changes your metabolism and helps you lose weight rapidly and permanently.  It involves daily low doses of HCG while following a 500 calorie a day diet for a period of 23-43 days.  It was developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in his book “Pounds and Inches, a new approach to obesity” and was brought to awareness again by Kevin Trudeau with the release of his book “The Weight Loss Cure they don’t want you to know about”  Since the release of Kevin Trudeau’s book and the release of my cookbooks The HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook Vol 1 and Vol. 2  I’ve heard 1000’s of stories of successful and permanent weight loss as the result of this amazing protocol.  Here, in this article, I am going to outline the basic 4 steps (HCG Phase) to losing massive amounts of weight with the HCG Diet.

4 Steps (Phases) to the HCG Diet (I’ll be detailing the phases more in future blog posts)

The HCG Phase 1 Prep and Load (P1)

This may be a time (optional) to perform some basic cleansing such as colon, candida, liver cleansing and a healthy diet.  The loading phase is an integral part of the diet.  It lasts for the first 2 days of taking the HCG and involves eating a high fat/calorie diet.  This helps to keep hunger at bay when you switch to the low calorie diet for the next phase.

The Four Phases of the HCG Diet

The HCG Phase 2 (P2)

During this phase, a low dosage of HCG is taken 125-200 iu 6 days a week for a period of 23-43 days.  A low (500) calorie diet is observed for this time and consists of very specific foods (see “Pounds and Inches” or “The Weight Loss Cure” for details)  You can expect to lose up to a pound a day.

The HCG Phase 3 Stabilize (P3)

Following your time on the HCG is a 3 week period where you are allowed to eat most anything you want with the exception of starches and sugar.  Dairy, eggs, proteins, fruits, vegetables, fats, and small amounts of nuts.

The HCG Phase 4 Maintain (P4)

This is the rest of your life!  You can begin to incorporate carbohydrates back into your diet and keep the weight off!

I hope you find this overview of the HCG Diet helpful and good luck to all of you!

I did my load on Christmas Day and the day after. I was so full I thought I would be sick! But I figured what better way to help get rid of leftovers! I was really doing the family a favor. *wink* I started VLC on Monday I was 225.6, had a tea w/ stevia, chicken breast strips I grilled Sunday night and asparagus at lunch, an apple for snack and turkey breast meat in swansons broth w/ s&p, garlic poweder and poultry seasoning. 1/2 grapefrut in the evening. I know I was supposed to have a different protein but I needed to eat and still needed to shop. Figured it was better than going to the store on an empty stomach. In any case I wieghed this morning…223.2 Is that even possible?

“6 days a week?” Am I missing something?? I have only read “Pounds and Inches Away”, but I thought we took the HCG 7 days a week? Have I been doing it wrong all this time? Help!

Hi Laura! The recommended dosage is 125 iu up to 200 iu injected daily, 6 days per week for a period of 43 days or daily for a period of 23 days. Hope that helps!
