An HCG Diet Introduction: Your Plan for Lasting Weight Loss

Is the HCG Diet Right for You?

For those of you stumbling onto my blog and website looking for the absolute best and most correct cutting edge information on the HCG Diet.  In this hcg diet introduction, I give you my best interpretation of dr. A.T.W. Simeons HCG Diet protocol.

In my books The HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook Volume 1 and 2 I give you the exact foods to eat, the plan, formula and strategy for success, and together.. over 350 delicious HCG Phase 2 recipes.   It’s why I’m here.  To support you with this program.

The first question most dieters ask themselves is if they can really lose the weight.  Does the HCG Diet work? and will it work for them?  In this HCG Diet introduction,  I will say that this very well could be the answer you’ve been looking for.  Real, rapid weight loss and a corrected metabolism and lasting weight loss.  I will say that while it works incredibly well for many people, The HCG diet plan is not appropriate for everyone.  This is a medical treatment and not a traditional low calorie “diet”.  Using low doses of HCG combined with a low calorie diet of very specific HCG Diet foods works to actually correct a slow metabolism and results are pretty much permanent.  It works best for people with 25 or more pounds to lose and is an absolute life saver for people with 100 or more pounds to lose.  The weight loss is rapid and you can expect up to a pound a day on average over the course of a full round of the HCG Diet.

One round on the HCG Diet plan can last a minimum of 23 days or a maximum of 43 days during which you take a dosage of 125-200 iu of HCG by injection or 250 2x a day sublingual (under the tongue)
It is helpful to start with 30 days or more of cleansing, detoxing, and supplementation to prepare your body for the HCG diet.  I generally recommend an organic, healthy diet of whole foods whenever possible before and after the diet.  This cleansing period is very helpful but not required to be successful.

Introduction to the HCG Diet              Getting Started!

You begin the HCG diet by “Loading” (Step 1)or eating high calorie/high fat foods for the first two days of HCG injections.  I know this sounds strange but it will help you to avoid hunger while the HCG gets into your system.
Then, you follow a strict diet plan of very specific foods.  Calorie intake is approximately 500 calories a day.  (Step 2)  Don’t worry, you shouldn’t be very hungry and this portion of the diet is only for a period of 23 or 43 days.  My HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbooks and recipes will help you stay focused and enjoying delicious HCG Diet friendly meals so you don’t get bored.
After you complete the 23 or 43 days, continue the low calorie diet for 2 days without your hcg injection and then immediately increase your calories to normal while observing a diet of no starch/no sugar for 3 weeks.  (I call the The Stabilization Phase 3)  You will fluctuate in the beginning but eventually your weight will stabilize.  If you go over 3 pounds of your LIW (last injection weight) do a “Steak Day”.
After 3 weeks on Step 3 you can begin to phase in carbohydrates again.  The HCG diet is done and your metabolism is likely much improved.  As long as you eat healthy, whole, unprocessed food you can pretty much eat whatever you want in moderation.
This is just a general HCG Diet Introduction to help you make an informed decision.  Remember to check with your physician and healthcare provider before beginning this or any weight loss program.  Now, if you ever have any questions, you can refer to your own copy of Pounds and Inches Recipes, featuring the Original HCG Diet Protocol by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons with recipes from the HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook Series.
Have an incredible week and Happy Dieting!

Hello. I started with HCG injections a couple of weeks ago with a Dr. Who was supplying my HCG. But it is very expensive & so have not continued with the diet. Can you suggest a reliable source of HCG for injection? I have read “Pounds and Inches” & ordered your Vol.2 Cookbook. Do I then have everything I need to do the diet alone one I have found a reliable source of injectable HCG? How do I proceed from here once I have found pure HCG.
I am so grateful for your Site & can’t wait for your cookbook to arrive.

Good luck to you with your diet! There are many dieters who are successfully doing it on their own. Unfortunately, because the program is a medical procedure and HCG is a prescription medication, I can’t really offer any sources to you other than to find a physician who can prescribe it for you. It sounds like you have just about all the information you need to get started!
