HCG Diet P2 Recipe Tomato Basil Chicken

Staying true to the HCG diet on P2 can be challenging due to the limited food choices and minimal caloric intake.  The hcg actually curbs the majority of hunger pangs due to the low calorie diet of 500 calories but many dieters complain that “If I have to eat one more plain grilled chicken breast I’ll……., well, I’ll just SCREAM!  So, I was inspired to share some of my favorites cooking techniques in this series of articles.  Fat free cooking can be delicious!

Chicken Cooking Tips

Arm yourself with some amazing, healthy fresh herbs and dried spices.

Saute the chicken in chicken broth until it starts to brown.  Then add a little water to create a more intensely flavored sauce.

Coat the chicken with Melba toast crumbs and spices and bake until done.

Add the chicken to fat free chicken broth, allowed vegetable, and spices to make flavorful soups.

Marinate your chicken in lemon juice and herbs prior to cooking.

Combine chicken with allowed vegetables and spices, wrap in foil and barbeque

Allow the liquid in the pan to evaporate and turn brown.  Then “deglaze” the pan with a little more water or broth to create a flavorful caramelized sauce.

Add a touch of sweetness by adding a little stevia to sauces and soups.

Enjoy topping or sauteing chicken with garlic and fresh chopped herbs and a squeeze of lemon

I swear folks… this diet doesn’t have to be boring.

    I have been on the HCG Diet a week and I am starving. My main quesion is the following. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I don’t see any breakfast recipes. Please help because coffee and half a protein bar or a melba toast is not cutting it. Help!

      Hi Sandra, It’s possible if you are experiencing severe hunger you might not have loaded quite enough with rich, fat laden foods the first two days. Super important. If thats the case the hunger should ease up soon and I’m a bit surprised it hasn’t already. The other thing to check in to is the potency of your HCG. I would go back to your supplier and check that it is indeed fresh or if it is homeopathic make sure you have a legitimate supplier. Word of mouth from a friend who has had success is a great way to assess the quality of any HCG product on the internet. Hunger isn’t normal with good HCG products so go back to the source. Best way to help with hunger though and handle breakfast is to space out meals. I would have coffee or tea and my fruit for breakfast, a protein and vegetable for lunch, then a protein and vegetable for dinner, then a fruit as an evening snack. Lots of water in between meals to keep you feeling full and flush toxins. Hope that helps you and I wish you all the best.

    I ordered HCG from another company and was beginning to lose weight, but I’ve had an allergic reaction (lips swelling, more each day, throat swelling fourth day). The drops sting when I put them under the tongue. I’m quitting and returning the product to that company.

    I’ve not seen anyone complaining about that with your product. Are there different types or ingredients in different brands?

      I can’t recommend any specific brands of drops. If you are looking for a sublingual product that works, ask your fellow dieters. The only product I officially recommend and know for sure works is Rx hCG which is available from your physician and many pharmacies. All the best to you with you diet!

    How long can u take the drops? Are there any other supplements u should take while doing hcg diet?

      I don’t recommend taking any supplements while on P2 as it will potentially slow your weight loss. Follow the plan and take daily doses of hCG for a minimum of 21 days for best results.
