      Hi Dawna,

I use Capella Flavor drops in some of the recipes in the HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook Vol. 2. Delicious!!!! French Toast and the Cheesecake are incredible. They also have Stevia sweetened water flavorings called Flavlets that are all natural and great for P2. Kiwi Strawberry is my favorite 🙂 Enjoy!

I didn’t have the cheesecake drops but I added ice to the mix to make it like a milkshake and it was awesome!!! My question is….can I have this once a day or is it on occasion type thing? Also I used fat-free cottage cheese 🙂

    • Tammy April 16, 2012 at 7:53 pm #

That sounds great Stephanie! As long as you make sure you count the non-fat cottage cheese as a protein and keep track of the calorie count, this is great! You’re staying with foods off the original protocol (and staying at 500 calories) and that’s what matters. Enjoy!!

Yes Tammy, I used it as my protein (100grams) & def fat-free version, & the strawberries for the fruit. I’m on day 6 of P2 I’ve lost 13# so far! With your help I’ll do GREAT! I just need to order your book! I’m trying your chili TONIGHT! YUM!

This recipe looks wonderful and just like what I need. My question(s) is does the cottage cheese count as your protien for the day and where would I find the cheese cake flavored drops?

This is one of my favorite HCG Recipes! It tastes just like cheesecake. I love the Capella drops!

      • Tammy July 13, 2012 at 11:36 pm #

Tammy, why is non-fat cottage cheese allowed, but not non-fat sour cream? This may not be the proper place to ask this question, but this recipe made me start thinking about it…
        Thanks!

Hi Tammy, Dr. Simeons writes in Pounds and Inches about the option of “curd cheese” for vegetarians. He was very specific about the food choices and beyond that, I’m not sure the reasoning or science behind his recommendations. All the best to you 🙂

I bought every capella drops about 50 flavors, some taste like pure rubbing alcohol and gross. Some awesome. Mabe they were old

I agree. I LOVE certain flavors, some are not as great or taste a bit fake. The ones I find most delicious and useful for cooking are butter, mint, french toast/vanilla, cinnamon, and chocolate. Some are great added to coffee (cinnamon, mint, vanilla etc.) and to add to smoothies or on fruit.
