Wow Tammy – Thanks. I’m on day 12 of the HCG phase of the diet and just received your cookbook. I just made the cabbage and chicken soup – it was wonderful. I didn’t even know I liked cabbage. I can’t wait to try all the receipes!

    • Tammy September 9, 2010 at 7:57 pm #

Fantastic! All the best to you Nancy 🙂 Always here if you have any questions!

  5. Nancy September 15, 2010 at 11:00 am #

That’s great to know – thanks.

I lost 1 1/2 pounds yesterday! I do have a question. When I go off of the drops and into the 3 week reset, can veggies be mixed?

    • Tammy September 16, 2010 at 8:22 pm #

Yes! Absolutely. You can pretty much eat a fully varied and significantly less restricted diet on the “Stabilizing Phase” or Phase 3. Most kinds of protein, just about any vegetable in any mixture excluding the starchy ones. Small amounts of nuts, a wide variety of fruits (excluding dried or excessive amounts) eggs, dairy, etc. Good luck to you with the diet. Tammy

Thank you so much for the kind words! You and all HCG dieters out there are why I do this work. I wish you all the best and every success with your diet! Tammy

  7. Shelly Rogers September 22, 2010 at 10:33 pm #

Please add me to the list to recieve your new cook book. I started the HCG diet today and am loading. If you have any suggestions for success I would appreciate it. Thank you Tammy! Shelly

    • Tammy September 23, 2010 at 6:29 pm #

      Hi Shelly,

Best to you with your loading! I just know you will do well. Best loading advice is to totally go for it. Eat more than you think you can and focus on oil rich foods. If you’re keeping it healthy you could focus on foods like avocados, nuts, nut butters, coconut oil, etc. The other way to load is to use this time to “Say Goodbye” to the junk foods and fast foods you used to eat. I advocate a true lifestyle shift to whole, healthy food for maintaining and most fast food joints are on the “Yuck” list. When you switch into the low calorie phase, best advice I have is to stick as close to the original plan and foods as you can, stay with it, keep yourself motivated, journal, take before and after pictures, and then …. Prepare to be amazed….. and shop!

  8. Nancy September 24, 2010 at 12:51 pm #

Best wishes Shelly. I’ve been on the diet since Aug 28th and am down 17 pounds! I couldn’t be more excited. Thanks again to Tammy for making this possible with her great receipes!

I am so happy I came across your site. I have been on the hcg diet since 9-6-10 and am down 22.5 lbs. I’ve had some struggles along the way, but am happy with the results so far. I’m really nervous, but today is my last day on the drops and I’m going on my 72 hour and then P3 stabilization. This diet has been so worth the journey… wish me luck on stabilization… it’s nice to know you are all there if I need you.

    • Tammy October 19, 2010 at 7:45 pm #

Congrats on your spectacular weight loss! All the best with transitioning to P3. This diet is truly a miracle.

  11. Evey October 24, 2010 at 2:24 am #

Please add me to the list to recieve your new cook book. I am just finishing my 1st round of injections (43 day). I am looking foward to P3 foods. I wish I had found your cookbook earlier. I plan on doing the 23 day HCG program after the first of the year, hopefully I can get my hubby to join me. He has made wonderful comments on my weightloss. Thank you.

    • Tammy October 25, 2010 at 8:15 pm #

      Hi Evey,

Happy to add you to the list! So thrilled you and your hubby have found this diet! Sounds like you are doing really well. With regards to P3… just dive in there and make sure to eat enough calories and I just know you will enjoy the variety on P3 so much.
      All the best to you!

      Tammy

  12. Valerie Martin October 26, 2010 at 6:06 pm #

I’ve been reading the various posts on your site and sincerely appreciate the info you are providing. Seems more helpful than many others sites I’ve consulted – so thanks for your generous contribution to all of us “newbies” just trying to figure it all out! When is your cookbook due to be released? I tried the Lemon Beef recipe and liked it very much. I am on day 11 of Phase 2 and am down 11 lbs. so far – but am looking for more variety!! Just didn’t know if it would be released before I am done…so let me know!

    • Tammy October 31, 2010 at 7:35 pm #

      Hi Valerie,

Thank you so very much for the kind words. Really appreciated. I’ve been busy at work releasing the new P2 book and also releasing my first cookbook in Spanish! So I haven’t been blogging as much as I would like but I have plans to post more recipes and health articles soon. So glad you are doing well! the new book is coming out in a couple of months and it will have some egg and cheese recipes for a little more variety but I don’t recommend cheese more than 2-3 times a week because of the milk sugars. Hope that helps you and I’ll put you on the list for the new book! All the best to you, Tammy

  13. Shirl November 2, 2010 at 9:48 pm #

First of all let me congratulate you on an incredible first recipe book for P2! WOW Foodies everywhere can appreciate gourmet food. My family of 3 agreed to do this together for support and ease of food prep. We’re all in it together and my son and husband do the shopping for me at Whole Foods and I prepare most of the recipes. Without this recipe book I’m probably the only one who would have made it this far – 15 days of P2 Rnd 1.
My husband has lost 27 lb., my son 17 lb., and myself 16 lb. We are using an inexpensive reliable source for homeopathic drops. My husband is absolutely blown away that he has reached a weight he hasn’t seen in 15 yrs. I am 59 yrs old and was inspired by my hairdresser who shared with me about her recent weight loss. Although she chose injections, our family is pro homeopathic healing and organic eating (and gaining because yes organic healthy food in abundance will put on layers of fat).
    Question for you:
When I make the recipes for all 3 of us should I triple the amount of spices, etc. as I do the servings of meats or veggies? I use 3 melba slices when the recipe calls for crushed toast for breading…
We have been using albacore tuna as a lunch staple – I rinse it until it’s dried out, then add Bragg’s & water, or lemon juice, etc. We have enjoyed the easy prep of a romaine & tuna salad with apple slices for a few lunches. The men seem to need the full feeling. We also use a low fat cottage cheese with chopped cucumber, spices and Bragg’s.
BTW There are several really good metabolic enhancers (capsules), wheat grass supplements, and sublingual Vit B Complex that have helped us immensely that are available online.
Hoping you get a chance to catch your blog up soon – your insights and tips are a tremendous help to us “newbies”.
Thank you again for your spectacular recipe book – can’t wait for the next one!!!!
    All the best to you,
    Shirl

    • Tammy December 7, 2010 at 7:06 am #

Thank you so very much Shirl! You totally made my day.

I’m really happy for you that you found this diet and that your family is so supportive! That is wonderful. Sounds like you are all doing so great and I really appreciate you sharing your story here for everyone to enjoy and get totally inspired by.

To answer your question, you don’t necessarily need to triple the spices when making multiple amounts. I always say to spice up to your personal taste. I mean… I could (can and do lol) eat cayenne pepper on everything but not everybody is as enamored as I am with the health and sinus clearing benefits of hot peppers!! Same with the taste of Bragg’s or apple cider vinegar. So just adjust it up or down as needed. With regard to the Melba toast you can just crush them up together with the spices and then distribute them evenly over each serving.

I don’t personally recommend anything off the original protocol on record. That said, many people have successfully made some adjustments and it sounds like it is working for you. When it comes to supplements you sound a lot like me lol. I have been taking a green drink and B vitamins myself on P3 and maintenance. Fabulous! So great to hear of your success and I hope to be posting more fun stuff on here soon. I’ve been so busy working on new projects that I haven’t posting anything recently.

Hope to hear some more updates on you and your family! Really nice to connect with you and thanks for sharing!

      Tammy

Absolutely! You’re on my list. The new book will be slightly different including some egg and cheese recipes. I would say my first book has more classic favorites. At any rate, I’m finishing up the edits on the new P2 cookbook and am a bit behind schedule. I’m also offering anyone on my list the new cookbook for a special discount. All the best with your diet!

I am on day 13th day and doing great. I am looking for any variations that are possible to make things not so boring.

    • Tammy March 8, 2011 at 7:22 am #

Best advice is to use lots of flavor from spices, fresh herbs. My HCG Diet Gourmet Cookbook can help and give you some ideas! In addition to the 200 + recipes feel free to swap out the kind of protein. For example if you don’t care for fish you can often substitute chicken for a fish recipe in my cookbook. Staying focused and alleviating the boredom with the limited foods on the HCG Diet is KEY to success. Stick with it! All the best to you!

  21. Beth Dubton May 27, 2011 at 2:59 pm #

I am on day 6. I don’t think I’m doing this right. I am eating 2 fruits, the allotted apple, grapefruit and/or a handful of strawberries. For lunch I have a salad, 4oz. of meat and same thing for dinner only no salad.
Can i snack on vanyhting other than fruit? Ie, celery. Can I have more than one salad a day?
I’ve lost a total of 5.6 lbs in the last 4 days! ( Today I only lost .3 Oz. that doesn’t seem enough. I did weigh myself at 7:30 instea of 11:00. Could that have something to do with my less than satisfactory weight loss this morning?
ThankYou in advance for helping me figure this all out.

    Sincerely.
    Beth

    • Tammy June 8, 2011 at 3:42 am #

I recommend a fruit serving for breakfast, a protein and a vegetable (could be salad or other approved vegetable) then a protein and a vegetable for dinner and a fruit with dinner or as an evening snack. Feel free to snack on a vegetable. Dr. A.T.W. Simeons didn’t put a limit on the amount of vegetables as long as you stay below 500 calories total for the day. Do not eat both fruits together. Hope that helps. Oh yes, with regard to the time of your weighing in, it is best to weigh at the same time every day. That said, you can expect stalls and plateaus. Very normal with this diet. Your body is just catching up as the HCG releases the fat.
