Tis the season. Cold and flu season…. that is. Many of you may know that I’m a big fan of natural and alternative health remedies, techniques, etc. I rarely get full blown sick personally but this is what I do if I start to feel a little unwell or under the weather. Just got over “under the weather” following my recent vacation and thought I would share with you my “Top Secret” Cold and Flu Remedy.
Tammy’s Natural Health Cold and Flu Remedy
Boil a 1/2 a lemon (with rind) in a cup and a half of water until the pulp starts to come out. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Drink it down right before bed and cover yourself with blankets. You will sweat like crazy and likely feel a little better in the morning.
Extras: Add a little stevia, honey, (Not on the HCG Diet) booze (Not on P2), or lobelia tincture.

Another favorite cold and flu remedy of mine is to take baking soda with vitamin C in orange juice or lemonade right when you first start to get sick. It’s a quick way to alkalize and often kicks the cold or flu right out before it starts.
Drink 2-4 cups Echinacea tea daily right when you first start to feel the cold or flu coming on.
